Mapping Treasures (Harita Hazineleri) Projesi Hakkında
eTwinning projesi kapsamında İspanya, İtalya, Makedonya ve Romanya`dan ortaklarımızla beş aydır devam eden 'Harita Hazineleri/Mapping Treasures' adlı projemizi tamamladık. Proje İngilizce öğretmenimiz Ayten Kayacan`ın koordinatörlüğünde 9, 10 ve 11.sınıflardan toplam 18 öğrencimiz ile tamamlandı. Projenin amacı, kültürel hazineleri ya da kültürel ilgi alanlarını etkileşimli bir haritada bir araya getirmekti. Proje kapsamında öğrenciler uluslararası gruplara ayrıldı ve her grup spor, moda, video oyunları, müzik, film, teknoloji, anime, gastronomi, bilim, sanat, tarih ve edebiyat alanlarında kültürel bir tema seçti. Öğrenciler, her temaya bir renk atayarak haritada beş kıtada 330'un üzerinde bölgeyi vurguladılar. Haritada on katman vardır ve her bir katman tüm siteleri tek bir görünümde sınıflandırmayı seçer. Her siteye tıkladığınızda açıklamaları, fotoğrafları veya videoları görebilirsiniz.
Mapping (Cultural and Geographical) Treasures starts as a common effort of several teachers who would like their students to collaborate with each other in a creative, entertaining and enriching way by using English and ICT tools. Students will create an interactive map of places worth visiting for their cultural or geographical interest. Students will select the cultural fields they will focus on (i.e. music, fashion, literature, history, gaming, sports, art, international festivals, popular universities, etc.) The final map will include texts, pictures and videos designed by students.
We hope students will improve their English language as it will be the main language for communication throughout the project. They will introduce themselves, share ideas, discuss and agree on topics of interest, look for information and create videos and texts in English. We hope students will improve their digital competence as they will have to use ICT tools, some of which will be completely new to them, not only in the final product of the project but also in the process of the development of the project. (discussion, decission-making and collaborating). Students will enrich their cultural and geographical knowledge, as they will end up with a complete map of interesting places in all Europe.
The final product of the project will be a map with dropmarks in those culturally interesting places. By clicking on each dropmark, we will find students' texts and videos explaining why the place is interesting and describing the main features of the place.
